I see on the AA forum that you are thinking of cancelling. Since AA gives you an unambiguous 24 hours to do so why not try once more.
There are only two fare classes on QR P & R that don't come with seat selection before online check in. I is a comfort fare (I mistakenly called it convenience earlier) and allows advanced seat selection.
The product in the air in J is truly superior for all the frustrations one might have to endure on the ground.
Ah so that's what that means. Thank you!I have seen that several times on this board and simply couldn't figure it out.

I have cancelled the booking. I absolutely refuse to pay $5K for a flight and then have to pay additionally for seats. And AA saying they can't do anything and QR saying they understand but that's their policy and nothing they can do left me with no choice.
