Trying to confirm my eligibility for sign up bonus with the Brilliant card. The rules between Chase and Amex for the Bonvoy program have confused me.

I signed up for the Chase Bonvoy Boundless card on 11/1/23. I’m hoping to product change this card to the Ritz card this upcoming November. My understanding is once you get the Ritz, you can’t get the Brilliant. Therefore, I’d like to get the Brilliant by this spring.

I am now 90 days out from application. I’m seeing mixed things related to a 24 month rule. Am I eligible for the sign up bonus on the Brilliant card or do I have to wait 24 months from when I got the Boundless? I have extensive travel to Hawaii later this year, so would like to take advantage of the sign up bonus if possible.

I have no other Marriott cards currently and have never had other ones prior. I’ve been a long time Hilton user, but starting to explore the Marriott brand.
