Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive? Booked Standard King, upgraded to Premium King Airport View (higher floor)

How are the rooms? Standard size room. Recently opened and renovated. Contemporary design, huge tv, no wear and tear, walk in shower no tub.

How is the exec. lounge? n/a

What was good and what was bad? About 10 years ago this was a badly outdated HIX. Then it went through one or two different other bran dings. Now it has reopened as a Holiday Inn / Staybridge combo. Bright contemporary public areas, well lit hallways, and updated modern rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I was given both free breakfast and points as my welcome amenity. I could hear a little plane noise but nothing major. Breakfast is menu, not buffet, and it seems most items except eggs were preprepared. Dry bacon, cold potatoes, and eggs were slightly overcooked. The spa in pool area is closed down. Their website mentions a fee for parking but the gates were up and I was not charged.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return? Cash rate I paid was pretty low. No doubt because it was a weekday in mid winter. Convenient location so I would consider it again depending on the price.
