After many years as UA*G I've decided it's too hard to maintain given much of my travel is not on UA and their miserly PQD on other airlines, especially in biz. So I'm thinking of shifting to TK. I believe I could get a status match from my FB lifetime plat (though not actually flown much on ST recently). Questions:

1) If I don't fly TK within 4 months but do qualify in a regular way (40k miles) then I assume that I would still retain Elite/*G?

2) The anniversary date is 12 months from programme join date, right?

3) Assuming the answer to (2) is in the affirmative, if I credit *A flights from before I join, then do I get any status miles? In which programme year?

4) If join today, am I likley to get a status match (if successful) by Feb 18?
