I'm looking to book Aug 4 to 9th in Edinburgh and I'm having a really difficult time finding a flexible rate under 236GBP per night (that's the cheapest I can find... Courtyard Edinburgh West, with a AAA rate).

Most of the flexible rates are waaay cheaper on Expedia. I've never booked internationally, so I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong? Do I need to make a booking and then submit a Best Rate Guarantee claim? Never done that before either!

I'm open to staying at a different hotel chain, but if I can find a decent flexible rate with Marriott, I'd prefer to do that. It's festival time in August, so while I realize prices will be high, I'm just trying to find a way I can book directly with Marriott so i can earn points. Any advice would be much appreciated!
