I wonder if someone is 1K on 1/31 and then drops to say Gold on 2/1 but has a flight on 2/2, will their position on the upgrade list drop on 2/1? That is, does UA use pax status on the present day or the day of departure?

I moved up probably like 3 spots since yesterday for a flight tomorrow (without PP applied)
