I was at YVR domestic lounge around 2:30pm on Jan 31, and asked at the reception whether showers were available again. After being told no, I asked whether there was an estimated date. It was quiet and no one was waiting so the receptionist took time to tell me that the main reason was that a new Cafe was being built. And then after that was built, the domestic MLL would be closed to build a new one. She guessed that this might start in the fall, and that's when the shower would be fixed. I was back at the lounge at 9:30pm, and the meatballs tasted better the second time. Neither time was the lounge full or feeling crowded.
