I saw two different upgrade prices depending on where I was in the app. So when I saw a lower price again yesterday, I grabbed it.

Originally I was going to take one for the team and sit in the middle next to my husband and put him in 7L in the side window seat, with tray on the aisle, I think. But then I thought why not grab 6L for myself (instead of the middle), a seat with the tray by the window, even if oriented toward the aisle and not a "real" window seat. According to the Points Guy.

Do the FAs still insist on a dark cabin on a day time flight going west? I have not been in Polaris for years. And is there order meals ahead in Polaris these days? I believe we can access the TAP lounge as Polaris customers? Our economy flight LHR-LIS is with TAP.

Any advice about other places to sit? There are seats in row 2 and 3 on opposite sides of the plane. Would you be jostled during boarding trying to settle in? I picked rows 6/7 so as to not be too close to any noise from other cabins and be away from the toilets in the back.

I've attached the current seat map.
When I fly this config with my partner, I just take two odd-number window seats for us. In your case, I'd pick 7L and 9L, or perhaps 3A and 7A. It's not very easy to talk while seated in any other than the "love seats" (odd number middle pair), which this aircraft doesn't have, so might as well just take two good seats.

FA window shade management is variable, but I haven't had them be fussy about it westbound in recent memory.

Polaris does have preorder.

You could use the TP lounge at LIS, but you'd need to enter Schengen and then leave it again to do so. Your call as to whether it's worthwhile. You should also be able to use UC at LHR given the Polaris ticket.
