However, this seems pretty strongly customer-friendly and I am quite excited about the change. On the Reserve - For a very modest $100 extra, there is a lot to digest here. Hopefully the $120 "rideshare" credit posts for the food side of those apps, and then I am just split tendering with the Uber Cash from the vanilla Plat anyway so that's already raking back the AF increase. Resy and "Delta Stays" seem much more annoying to use, although at least the latter is a single annual challenge.

The companion cert change has the potential to be massive though. Seems a little unclear if it includes Alaska and Hawaii, but if it does that is a massive improvement over the status quo. I suspect, however, that the final rule will probably still exclude Delta One marketed flights, which will significantly blunt the ability to get from Hawaii to a destination beyond the West Coast. But if it didn't... that's a $2k+ benefit right there.

As of this post, Delta has messed up on their website and posted the new Plat T&Cs twice so the Reserve T&Cs are missing.
Food purchases (e.g. Uber Eats) appears to be explicitly excluded from this benefit, by my reading of the T&C.
