Reminds me that I just bought a VLC-LHR one way on BA in basic economy. Once you’d totted up all the bits and pieces, the Ryanair flight (much less comfortable, more inconvenient) on the same day to STN which in typical bait and switch style looked very cheap on Google Flights was only $30 less per person than BA to LHR. Passengers saved at least that by not having to take an expensive taxi back from STN. And they won’t be hassled by BA for taking a wheelie bag and a personal item as carry on!
