Does that mete out in real life? Is Volaris looser with personal item sizing? I'm not intending to bring an enormous backpack, but knowing whether it "needs to be an exact size" vs. "it can be fudged a few CM" would help with packing.
Ironically enough, in the buy on board menu it does list the dimensions of the personal item (20x35x45 cm).
From me and my dad’s experiences flying with Volaris (albeit with their JETSAL subsidiary to and from El Salvador) they neither weigh nor measure the dimensions of your cabin baggage. The only time they actually do so is if you want to check a cabin bag (the limit for that is 10 kg).
There is a weight limit for the cumulative pieces of cabin baggage which is 15kg with a Básica fare and 20kg with a Plus fare.
