Yeah after 15 years of Diamond Glob, this year is shaping to be possibly too much. I guess I will see, but planning this latest trip is really just killing me as I have to either completely change the plan or just give up another 10-12 nights, which will leave me probably 30 nights short this year with most all of my major travel spoken for. I mean, honestly at this point, no country should be a 0 hotel presence, certainly not places outside of say Afghanistan etc, where tourism is a non issue.
It sounds like Marriott or Hilton may be a better program for you due to your travel patterns. Alternatively with GoH awards and hoarding some TSUs you can make a decent go of it as Explorist. Many here have GoH's that will go unused and likely would share some for those of your multi night stays that make sense, especially for a long time FTer like you. You can't have too many only getting to 30 nights.
Maybe in the following year your travel patterns will change and you'll achieve Glob on your own again. But the GoH awards and some saved TSUs will mitigate the issues for a gap year.
