Routing doesn't allow for LAX, but it allows for SFO. Unfortunately, US has no A class on UA codeshares SFO-JFK.

But you can still book flights on UA 3-class planes and be in the United First Suite... like SFO-ORD or DEN-IAD.

And it's a refundable fare too.
