I tried to buy one but hit a dead end when it wouldn't accept my credit card.
Way late to the game here but I was able to go to a physical AIS shop in Bangkok to get an eSIM and set up with the SIM2FLY feature. It required KYC but I am able to top up the SIM with a credit card from overseas.
Right now this is my main travel eSIM due to the relatively fast download speeds while roaming. FWIW I am getting consistently better speeds with AIS than Three HK.
