I could have imagined "you may not award status for flights on non-*A", but domestic Virgin obviously means that's not the case.
So maybe there's something like "you may not award status for flights on non-*A in any markets where *A operates", with some weird definition of "market".
It must be something from somewhere, but since no *A carrier operates ex-Australia, it's hard to parse what that might be.
Honestly, I'm surprised Virgin earns SQM at all, given that it's the only non-*A partner that does, aside from the LH-group subsidiaries.
