Funny story I did the $40 trick at MGM a few years ago using FHR.. there were upgrades available and the front desk person tried and tried to get me an upgrade.. 45 min later waiting and no upgrade and she kept the $40, I was pissed. I took it like I lost a hand at blackjack. So it doesn't always work, good luck
