My concierge shared something interesting with me today. I tried booking a 6 night award stay using a SUA at a Cat 7 resort, and a seperate 1-7 FNC after the last day. My concierge said that it wouldn't work because the system would merge the two reservations since they are on consecutive dates, and it would then kick out the SUA since you cannot apply a SUA to a 1-7 FNC. I thought this was an interesting detail that I hadn't heard before. Has anyone else heard or experienced this?

I ended up just booking all 7 nights on points, and I will hope to get 20k points for my FNC once it expires.
