ok so major changes to the club lounge here. I checked in today to be told the old lounge is closed and the Italian restaurant is moving there. Temporarily the lounge has taken over a section of the cafe on floor M. So you are now basically sitting a few steps up from a noisy bright lobby. Wow... this is unfortunate news. Sad that it is in the basement, but, did they say when the new lounge was opening?
EDIT: I contacted the hotel to see if they had any information on when the renovations would be finished. I have 10+ days booked there in April. But they are cancellable. It occurred to me that the Holiday Inn Golden Mile also has their lounge in the basement. It's been years since I was there, but I don't remember being bothered by it.
