For DFW-XIY, you might want to look into Korean Air via ICN, and staying at the extremely nice and convenient Grand Hyatt (and KE might even provide vouchers for it; need to check).

However, if you're set on the PVG routing, I suppose the Disney hotels might be worth a look. Although they aren't spectacular, they are a big step up from the airport properties, and there are decent dining options in the area.
