Lower risk to start it this way and build them up if it proves viable. For example, PHL-BOS started as 4x weekly at the end of May 2022, now it is 2x daily. PHL-CLT and RDU were similar when they launched pre-COVID, now they are 2-3x daily.

It also depends on how you define maddening - having one flight time per day may be maddening, but when the price is $150 r/t on F9 vs $500 on AA, many people will deal with a maddening schedule over maddening price.
