Hi there - first time transiting through HKG. My last-minute itinerary is BOM - HKG - LAX including a 14+ hour layover.

We arrive in HKG at 9am and the flight connecting flight is just after midnight. We are flying economy on miles as of now and I have Oneworld Sapphire status. Hope business class seats open up.

My questions:

1. Which lounge would you recommend we use? Shower and ability to take a nap would be ideal. Also, can I bring a guest with me into the lounge?
2. Can we visit Kowloon without getting a 14+ hour layover? I am a US citizen and my dad is Indian citizen having US Green Card/Permanent Residency.
