EF is still showing it as a legal connection. Apart from Tuesdays (when there is an EI codeshare that leaves 30mins earlier) there aren't may other options.
Do you mind getting the later flight to CAI?
It's a leisure trip and we have no issue with a later arrival in Cairo if it comes to it. I'd prefer to make the earlier one, but no major hassle if not. The most annoying thing would be waiting in LHR for 6 hours with no lounge access! If BA want to re-book me on the later flight proactively, that's fine - we will just ask to be put on a later flight from Dublin to Heathrow also.
For now, I'm thinking we will hold tough and chance it unless BA contact me to change it.
