Hi,

I've a flight in March from Dublin to Cairo, via LHR, departing DUB at 7.10am, arriving LHR at 8.45am, with onward flight to CAI at 9.45am. This is 1 hour transit time, and I read that there are new rules with minimum connection time of 75 mins.

I have only been through LHR a handful of times and never on a short connection or in T5, so I'm not familiar with the airport. How likely do you think it is that I'll make this connection? From looking at Flightradar, it looks like the DUB-LHR flight generally lands on time, but not sure how much time is then wasted taxiing, is there a remote gate, etc.?

I've been reading about the conformance requirements in LHR, but not clear if there is a security check when arriving from DUB? Or will BA proactively re-book me anyway, since the connection time is now less than the new 75 min minimum connection time?
