Nothing in front of row 1 felt very weird for the passengers there I am sure.. We were in row 2 and the seats were hard and the seat pitch very tight. Not much fun for a 4+ hours flight. No charging points between the seats. It all felt very LCC.
Fortunately our next few flights are on long-haul F and J. Not sure I want to spend money on BA shorthaul from LGW any more.
Heathrow flights to the Canaries often operate with Neo aircraft, which have ultra slimline seats behind the emergency exits (they do have power etc though)
