My plan is to keep the employee cards open for a year and then close the main card (and all associated employee cards)
AND in the extra year the card is open, ask for a retention offer for the main card
Then hit a new NLL offer.
Multiplayer mode - eaach one gets business Gold - 120k +10k spend + 5 users min 19k each at times 24k = comes to almost 225-250k per card x 8-9 cards
enough to cash out a significant chunk;
Or if your prefer miles, MR cost is 0.5c lost cash - then convert to airlines with bonus = 0.4c each
It helps cope with devaluation of airline points if you can get them for 0.4c

There is one thing that I worry about, though, and I would appreciate it if anyone knows more than me. It concerns how long one must keep the employee card open or risk a clawback from Amex. Nothing is stipulated in the text quoted above by MIA, and that would be fine with me. However, I recall reading a post by Vinh at MilesPerDay that suggested to me -- and maybe I was misunderstanding -- that he lost a bunch of points generated with these employee cards when he closed his main card (since this by nature closes the employee cards.) But maybe you don't have to keep them open for 12 months.
