It will be interesting to see what hoops you have to jump through to get to the "empowered" ones in the US. Cry? Tell them you're a lawyer? Ask DYKWIA?
My previous employer has a huge team of analysts in India- I helped build it and loved working with them. Outsourced "customer service" people in India that other companies hired were a different story. They hired the cheapest, many of whom had heavy accents and spoke too quickly, which compounded the problem, and they weren't empowered to do anything that wasn't in their script. My late husband didn't have a very good ear for accents and had hearing issues that were worse at higher frequencies. If he got a young woman speaking English too rapidly she may as well have been speaking Bulgarian.
Whatever "international" workers AA uses, I hope they do better than that.
