I think the only thing that I would add is when OLCI opens up just check in for the JER-LHR, unselect the LHR-XXX flight and check in for that separately. That may give you your JER-LHR bp even if you need a doc check for the LHR-XXX.
Thanks for the quick replies. XXX is a US destination so i guess there is a good chance that a document check is required. I was thinking that i should be able to get all 3 boarding passes at the check-in desk at LHR, am i correct?
