Go for 2A and 2F and see whether 1A or 1F is willing to swap. Friend of mine just travelled and was booked in 1F and swapped into row 3 to allow a couple to sit together.
2A and 2F can leave doors open and at least see each other. There is no way to see or communicate from row 2 to row 3.
Just don't get your hopes up too high! I think there are some regulars on the full route (JFK-FRA-SIN) [edit: this is the route it used to fly, not the one in question] who very much prefer to have their same seat the whole time. They were not willing to change on my honeymoon flight, unfortunately. Still an incredible experience, though!
