It's not bad. I travel with both AT&T (work) and T-Mobile (personal). Generally AT&T is fine. If my VPNs are rough or being hit with crackdowns, I just tether. Cell speeds are much better than they were 5 years ago. I can generally watch Youtube with no issues in most major cities' hotels.
