ok, looked into the choices - interesting concept....wonder what others think?

$300 flight (keeping the math simple):
3300 points
600 points (used UA card at 2x)
5000 points from "winning" MilePlay

8900 points = $89 in refund

actual cost: $211

hmmmmm

I get this math, but can anyone confirm that the 2-4x miles Chase gives for United purchases does not get clawed back after the airfare charge is refunded using Choices/Pay Yourself Back? (In my case, I have a promo for 6x miles on United and another promo for travel spend, so if this is negated by using PYB, it changes the math significantly.)
