Orginally booked Mayfair suite Hyde Park view and was upgraded cat+1 to Mayfair Prestige suite.
I paid about £745 for my orginal room which i thought was a fairprice for January as i booked at least a year before.
Room #388 is located on level 3 and is renovated.
It faces south towards picadilly and the Wellington arch.
You'll enjoy the sun from east to south to west and it could warm up quickly.
Fortunately there are 3 airconditioning units that be individually controlled : 2x living room and 1x bedroom.
Although located hext to the elevator shaft, i can report no extra noises and such.
The unique feature of this room is that it has 2 entrances ..,,.
Yes the ability to order in local crumpet,
Yes the ability for the harem to discretely go in/out
Yes the ability to go out through the wrong door on hotel slippers + bathrobe and find yourself locked out .... (waking up bleary eyed)
There's the main door as entrance and a second unmarked door which leads straight to a small antechamber to the bathroom ....
PS: second line of above = yours truly.... i had to bang on the door to have Mother rush out her chair to let me back in....
My son already laughed that i was overexposing myself ....
i do believe though i have jolly good ankles but it's mighty drafty down there... can't afford to stand in the hallway like a tart again ...,
No visual of me in the spoilers ..... only chaste photos of the room .....
Location of room #388 : L shaped layout
You can get an idea of the room types .....
Left : west view on Hyde Park / Park lane
Right : view east on Four Seasons hotel / Hamilton place / towards Picadilly
Bottom : view south on Wellington arch

#343 & #357 is a Mayfair one bedroom suite ..... (no Hyde Park view in its descriptive name)
#336 is Mayfair one bedroom suite Hyde Park View
#382 is a Mayfair Classic room
And a warm welcome to room #388
Entrance in the room puts you right at the dining table
Room has an extra toilet,
Right door: entrance to outer hallway corridor
Side table has these handy outlets
Extra toilet
Living room with 2 airconditioning units
Living room catches a lot of light
The sofa is collapsable
Nespresso + kettle
Stocked minibar
View on the main entrance, second toilet
Onwards to the bedroom on the left
Bedroom has a KING bed which can be divided upon request into TWIN
Bedside has USB A
View from the bedroom .... comes with excellent blackout curtains
And we turn around and look through the dressing room towards the bathroom
Dressing room and bathroom
Lots of storage space for all your frocks & wigs
And even space to live out of your suitcase
The bathroom is very spacious
Seperate shower stall with rainforest and handheld
Bathroom had no Byredo Bal d'Afrique soapbar .... only the handwash liquid soap
Dual sink, bathtub .... note the brown door
As the Comtesse de Vache would exclaim to Lisette, her maid :
A lovely big door .....
Quite interesting .....
A Big lovely door and it leads to an antechamber hallway
As a refresher ....
Let us consult the map again ..... and behold the secret passage
(not between the library and the butler's pantry but between the bathroom and the guestrooms' corridor)
Indeed this is the second entrance to room #388
Which is discretely without number,
An unmarked door
After all these new revelations, i'll end with turndown service
As we were staying with 3 of us
The collapsable sofa unfolded for extra sleeping surface
Means i was demoted to sleep on my own......... reason: my snoring can even be heard from my sleep position in row 17A in Singapore Airlines A350 first cabin business class through the galley till the second business class cabin row 19A ...... so i've been told by someone of my own bloodline....
Turndown service empties the trash, replenishes the waters, restocks the towels and draws the curtains to a close
While Mother & grandson had the big bed, later to be split by housekeeping into TWIN
Bed's all ready and neat for sleeping
And placed is
Roomservice breakfast menu choices
VERDICT
Amost comfortable room that can suit with ease 3/4 in occupancy.
All furnishings were in good shape, no wear and tear, bathroom could handle a bath & shower
simultaneously.
Even flushing both toilets at the same time posed no problems.
No water pressure drop or temperature differences ...
So big
for the plumbing
