"check in" means where we give the bags and get boarding pass, am I correct ?

Assuming they will have availability in Premium economy and UC, what is usually that 'fixed' amount, in cash? I am looking for Seattle to London. Is my previous assumption of couple of hundred for PE and around $1000 for UC, may be close ? I am trying to learn, if spending $1358 (+ points) now and book, will more sense, or at counter they can book in less than $1358
