This is not super common but there are a couple of ICs (and former ICs) where the welcoming team know my name.

In one case I got out of a standard airport cab, having not stayed at the property for perhaps a year, and was greeted by name.

Then there are some doormen that welcome me by name when I get back to a hotel.

Must be some form of facial recognition, right?
