I got the code today but the terms and conditions render it useless. I need to book a new trip before Feb 29 and fly between Feb 1 and Feb 29 for new reservations. I already had a booking in Feb and if I rebooked the same trip now, it would cost me $72 more on the same trip and I am not sure if I would get the E+ on all segments using this promotion. As the United Silver, I could get the E+ at check in and a very very very slim chance to upgrade so do I want to spend $72 more to secure this minimal benefit? I think no. It won't do me any good.
This kind of marketing campaign just make you feel good but doing nothing for you.
