We're not booking awards seats but using the cash + avios option Qatar. If we linked at QR account with my husbands BAEC, should we be able to use the full amount of avios for both of us?
Secondly - if they wouldnt let us delink the accounts because we've used avios via QR - would they accept seat selection based on the oneworld status over the phone?

the avios account linking has nothing to with the frequent flyer number in bookings. 'Delinking' will make no difference.
Log out of your qatar account, the use the pnr to pull up the booking. You will see the frequent flyer program and associate number that is on the booking. You should be able to change it to ba and type in your ba number there.
If it will not let you then go to the finnair website and use the pnr to pull up the booking. You should be able to change the frequent flyer program numbers there.
they will not give you seat selection on the phone based on you telling them you have ow sapphire. You would need to ask them to change the ff numbers on the booking. You can do this if the online options i have shared do not work
