The a350 was ok but the seat on the 777 must be the narrowest I have ever experienced in my life. Even with the generous legroom even a thin person will struggle on them.
Not only that but the remote for the entertainment system is slightly out which makes the seat even narrower.
One to totally avoid. If you can fly the a350 do but the 777 is a joke what is supposed to be a 10-14hr flight!
I second this. I was recently on the 77W when flying CX251 to LHR, and the difference in seat comfort between the A350-1000 I flew out on and the 777-300ER was shocking. Seats on the 77W are not only noticeably narrower, but also thinner in padding, and being a full, 15 hour flight to London, we all felt cramped. I appreciate that the 3-4-3 Y config is now standard with most airlines, but I will definitely do my best to avoid the 777 when I next fly CX. Its a shame that the sole remaining A350 flight from London is being replaced with a 77W-only operation beginning later this week, as the A350 is a lot better from a passenger viewpoint.
