Anyhow, went back to BA saying this wasn't acceptable and haven't heard a word since. Sent a couple of chasers, contacted them on Twitter/X and just been told to wait.
Worth keeping pushing or leave it? Really think 10k Avios was poor for a broken CW seat, regardless of it being an award ticket/Blue member.
BA finally got back to me! 3.5 months after the initial flight, 3 months after I rejected their first offer of 10k Avios. They have now offered an additional 70k compensation (though they said at 9am today this was in my account, it is still not...) so 80k total.
Context:
- Issue: J seat that was broken (no recline function at all) on LHR-MIA day flight, full flight so no way to move me
- Blue Member
- Reward booking, with Barclaycard upgrade voucher used on top
- Open jaw J LHR-MIA / IAH-LHR
- Initial cost: ~115k return
Definitely worth continuing to pursue and chase via Twitter/X, web form etc.
