The tour starts at 7:50am and is scheduled to end at 7:50pm. The cost is ¥7,500 per person. The booking site is a bit cranky and asks for each passenger’s full name, age, country of residence and place they will be staying in Nagoya.

This tour seems like very good value for money and some dates are already filling up. I suggest you make a reservation as soon as possible. Free cancellations are possible up to 10 days before the tour but there will be a cancellation charge if you cancel closer to the date. The tour is primarily for Chinese and English speaking visitors. It is not guided but they hand out information sheets in English. Seat reservation is not possible but seats are normally allocated in order of application.

Takayama is about 2.5 hours from Nagoya and there will be a short comfort stop on the way. As lunch is not included you may like to try some local delicacies in Takayama if you have the time or buy snacks in a convenience store or in the service area on the way. Here are some photos from a similar tour which seems to include lunch. I don’t expect snow in Shirakawagō at the end of March but you never know.
