OP, if they chose a “window” pair then one of them is in a backward facing seat. CS doesn’t have any backward facing seats so on that basis they should be able to argue at least one refund. Or argue “we paid for 2 seats facing one another” which you won’t have anymore in CS.
Being way over complicated this. It is as simple as paying for something that you’e not getting. They’d get a refund no problem.
