This language was also in an FDD for a Westin Hotel in March of 2022, so this has obviously been in the works for awhile, but Marriott is clearly laying the groundwork for waiving resort/destination fees for some elite tiers.

It is inspiring to see that Marriott management and lawyers at least recognize a potential benefit if properties are "prohibited from charging destination and resort fees to certain tiers of loyalty programs reward members".

As time goes by, this clause will be in an ever increasing percentage of Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) provisions.

"Be prepared", Marriott.

Be patient, loyal guests.

Beaucoup BONV°Y!
