Special Handling Required and they still can't transfer points
I tried transferring 12k points to my virgin atlantic account which I have had since 2018 (but have not transferred UR to, only MR) and it failed, gave me the special handling required message. I called, went through 2 different agents, it isn't a name match error (as I have a boring name that is correctly listed on both accounts identically, no extra names or hyphens or apostrophes, nothing.) They literally cannot figure it out and cannot help me, they cannot force the transfer through. I have never seen this happen to anyone else where they couldn't finally figure out what the problem is. And I know it isn't on VS's side as they received my 24k MR about 5 minutes prior to me trying to send 12k UR. Completely useless company. I am at a loss what to do here. VS is having a sale that lasts 3 more days and Chase says they'll get back to me in 10 days. They say there is no on they can transfer me to, no one can figure anything out. Too bad.
So I guess if this ever happens to anyone else in the future: you ain't alone.
If they ever figure it out I will update this thread.
