Thanks for reporting back. The issues you mention have been reported numerous times in this thread. There is nothing new or extraordinary in what you describe/experienced (except maybe the reception calling you twice in the room; I havn't experienced that).

Yep, I guess if one’s layover is 15hr+, the transit hotels will prove it’s value in allowing one to have a proper night’s amount of sleep. But under that, I’m not sure if it’s totally worth the effort. With that said, I was pleasantly surprised with TK today, as I’m planning on doing a stopover for my next trip with them in April, and was able to choose the Conrad Istanbul Bosporus as my hotel (which is perfect for me location-wise) and had the voucher generated easily.
