To charge back or not?
Hi all,
so back in October I was trying to book a one way itinerary from Jed to LHR and was having issues with the EK site not ticketing the flights, over the phone I was getting a different price to the website. One call with an agent and the website seemed to ticket and I did make a video of it at the time.
The ticket issued for the correct date but the wrong connection flight. An earlier connection than a later flight to Heathrow. I prefer the later one as I get to sleep over longer in Dubai. Anyway for months emirates have refused to correct the ticket but have offered a waiver for the change fee but not the fare difference which back then was £100 each.
I’ve spoken to amex who advised to do a chargeback for the additional difference emirates want me to pay. My only concern is I would
do this after flying therefore there is no issues with the ticket being suspended but as emirates would lose the argument could they add me to a do not fly list? Is it worth the argument?
