I see on TK website that you can now use miles for extra baggage, however they don't specify how much it costs -- says it depends on the route and other factors.

I'm gearing up for a move from South Africa to the US and would love to maximize my checcked baggage to save money on the move overall. I'm E+ with quite a few miles to burn, and hoping to avoid the $290 cash charge per excess bag.

Anyone have any experience on using miles for excess baggage? How much did yours cost and for which route?
