HOWEVER when you punch in dates for a ticket you were presented with a ton of options almost always starting out at or even under the 'official award chart price' all they way up to ridiculous numbers of multiples of the award price. it was NEVER (as far back as Ive traveled) fixed pricing for aa metal.
Before April 2014, it was fixed and pretty simple: If no SAAver available, then double the SAAver price for AAnytime, down to the last seat.
