I've actually done that before a few times. As long as they're getting paid in full, I don't think they really care what room the charges go to. In fact, this might be a way around the limit of getting points for three rooms concurrently.
Not saying it’s that they care, it’s first a very strange request and second more of an IT issue. How could charges be charged to a card but then removed from a folio?
I asked via Twitter Concierge and they said you only earn points for rooms and incidentals booked under your name. I specifically provided the scenario I posted above to them.
