I first visited this hotel probably close to ten years ago. I was much younger and had less disposable income. Luckily I get to stay in very nice hotels nowadays, and although I would say the JW is not super luxurious, I keep coming back here for a few days when in Dubai. In my opinion this is arguably one of the best Marriott hotels in the world (relative to the price they charge), and truly set the bar for elite recognition in general. The staff are truly wonderful and go the extra mile to make your stay extra special. The executive lounge offering is consistently great. Not stingy on upgrades. I am impressed they maintain their service levels with 1600+ rooms.
