Allianz Ins / Delta E Credit 2024
I had to add to this thread because I have recently used Allianz Insurance with Delta and put in a claim receiving a refund just a few weeks ago (Jan 2024).
1) If putting in a claim " Do Not Cancel Your Ticket with the airline. If you do you will have no claim.
2) Put in your claim with Allianz and the supporting documents they may request
3) You will be a No Show with Delta / Airline which is what you want because Allianz will know if you try and double dip.
4) Delta has been doing this quietly for the past few years for no shows, which is really nice. They gave me a E-Credit for my no-show flight anyway and I did not ask for it. Now I don't know 11 months from now if Allianz will pick up on the E-credit. If they do you will have to pay the money back only if you use it. It's in the contract you signed.
