My husband is a Global Service but not flying with myself and our 3 children this Thursday 2/1. We are booked in premium economy for a 13 hour flight and he has tried for plus points to get us upgraded to Polaris. With 5 days out below is what I see in expert mode. I called GS and they said as of now we are #1,2,3 and 4 on the upgrade list but I assume that can change between now and flight time? Am I understanding this correctly that there are only 6 seats left? If I want to see the buy up option then is the only way to do that is to remove the plus points but will that make me move further down the list if I don't want to pay the buy up amount? I assume with J6 that there is unlikely to be upgrades for all of us but I would be be fine with 1 or 2 so that my kids can sleep. Will United split us which I'm ok with or will single travelers bypass on the list? Is there anything I can be doing between now and Thursday to help my chances?
