I gotta comment negatively on yet another of the Lindners...

Was here last year when, apparently, there was a big conference in Dusseldorf. They did upgrade me to a room which was quite big but terribly tired. They apologized profusely (despite me only being Explorist for the time being) they could not upgrade me to a renovated room.

Service was really good. Substantial welcome gift in the room. I received a welcome drink (Altbier, a Dusseldorf beer style) at check-in despite not being affiliated with the conference and received a couple of free drink vouchers for their bar on the top floor.

I am still not re-booking this. The location does not work at all unless you're traveling with a car IMO (and why use a car for Dusseldorf?). This is like in a remote and really boring part of Dusseldorf. You not even have a supermarket nearby which is quite uncommon for urban Germany.
